How we publish

Facts in focus.
Sources in view.

Editorial approach

England Today takes a non-partisan approach. Claims are attributed, news and analysis are labelled, and significant uncertainty or disagreement is reported in context.

Sources and evidence

Every article links to its original publication. Official announcements reflect the issuing organisation’s account; analysis carries its author’s credit. Research retains the authors’ methods, findings and limitations. Several outlets carrying the same agency report count as one underlying source.

Rights and attribution

We use material covered by a suitable reuse licence. Author credits, copyright notices and licence links are retained, with edition changes listed in the source details. Images are reviewed separately for the specific article. Material with unclear permissions is withheld. Our sources page lists publishers and their reuse terms.

Collection and review

Source collection and updates run automatically. Publication depends on source, rights and content checks. Sensitive material, including allegations, court reporting and information about children, is held for additional review. Editorial holds remain in place through subsequent automated updates.

Dates and corrections

Source publication dates are shown separately from publication on England Today. Updates stay at the same article address. Corrections and clarifications are dated, displayed with the affected article and listed on the corrections page. Private correspondence and review records are kept private.

Contact and responses

Send corrections, complaints, copyright concerns or a response to an article through our contact page.

Commercial independence

Advertising, sponsorship and affiliate links must be clearly distinguished from editorial material. A sponsor cannot purchase a factual conclusion or concealed editorial influence.
